Who we are

Pallet Wood is operated by Palletmove Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 10370260), part of the Palletmove Group of Companies. Palletmove Limited is the data controller for enquiries sent through this website. Registered office: 21/23 East Street, Fareham, England, PO16 0BZ. What we collect

When you send a quote request or a bulk or project enquiry, we collect the details you enter: your name, email address, phone number (optional), postcode, business name (optional, bulk enquiries), the boards, quantities and required date you choose, and any notes you add. We also record which version of this notice you confirmed you had read, and when.

To limit automated abuse, the server keeps hourly counters keyed on a SHA-256 hash of the email address you enter, plus one site-wide counter. The hash is not anonymous: the same email address always produces the same hash, so it can still be linked back to you. Older counter records are routinely cleared after about two days. Rate limiting by network (IP) address is currently switched off.

Why we use it and our legal basis

• If you enquire as an individual, we use your details to take the steps you ask for before any contract — answering your enquiry and preparing a quote — and, if you go ahead, to perform that contract.
• If you enquire on behalf of a business, we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries and managing the resulting business relationship.
• We rely on legitimate interests to protect the website from spam and automated abuse.
• Where the law requires us to keep or share records (for example tax records if you place an order), we do so to meet that legal obligation.

We do not use enquiry details for marketing, and we do not make automated decisions about you. Sending a form does not place an order, and no payment is taken on this website.

Who handles it

Enquiries are saved in the website’s hosted database, which is not publicly readable. When staff notifications are switched on, a copy of each enquiry is emailed to our sales staff using the email service Resend. Our website hosting and database providers process the data on our behalf to run the site.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to handle your enquiry and any business relationship that follows, then delete or anonymise them. Our specific retention schedule is under review.

Stored in your browser

Your quote list (the product, pack option and quantity you choose) is saved in your browser’s local storage so it is remembered between visits. It stays on your device and is only sent to us if you submit a quote request. You can clear it by removing the items or clearing your browser’s site data.

Fonts from Google

Pages load fonts from Google Fonts. When they do, your browser contacts Google’s servers, which receive your IP address and standard browser information as part of that request.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or ask us to restrict how we use it, or ask to move it, subject to the law.
